An energetic pensioner performs a street music shows with a baby puppet doll.

Akaradech Suanboon, 65, attracted the attention of passers-by with his wacky performance in Ang Thong, central Thailand.

Footage from Friday February 28 shows the pensioner enjoying dancing while puppeteering his doll like the little guy was blowing a reed mouth-organ.

Onlookers stopped to watch and give tips to the duo. The pensioner said he has been on a tour with his doll, which he named Kai, for two years performing music across the country.

He said: "I once visited Chonburi and met a Japanese man who had this doll by his side, he used to dress it with his traditional Japanese outfit.

"Then an idea popped up in my head that I could dress it in the traditional Thai northeastern outfit where I came from and we could play some music.

"I told the Japanese man about my idea and asked for the doll and fortunately he gave it to me. After that I spent a couple months training tobe puppeteer to synchronise with the music.

"SInce then I have been travelling with Kai for two years, we have been across the country performing our little street music show for people.''
