In the French capital, streets that are usually full of tourists as well as Parisians are empty as the city grinds to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"France has now reach a critical stage, like its Italian neighbour, where permits are required to leave the house. Police officers are patrolling on the streets to control everyone who goes out," writes the filmer, a local journalist.

Video filmed on Tuesday shows police stopping people on the streets.

Following coronavirus expansion in France, Paris is now into quarantine. As a result, the streets which are usually full of people and tourists, are now totally empty.
