After a black man knelt before Seattle police in front of a barrier, a white man got in front of the kneeling man to protect him and he was attacked by police, according to the filmer of this shocking clip from Thursday (June 4).

Footage shows the man is seen being pepper-sprayed at very close range, tackled and surrounded by police.

"They give a knee to the neck, much like George Floyd," said Kenya, the filmer, in reference to the 46-year-old Minneapolis man whose death at the hands of police sparked the global protests raging currently.

"This is clearly police brutality and excessive force, and they tried to use their bikes to hide it," said Kenya, the filmer.

The man being attacked by the police was attempting to protect a black man who was on his knees with his hands in the air at the police barrier on 11th and Pine. They tackled him, peppered sprayed him while he was already on the ground with several officers on top of him, and these officers used the “knee to the neck” method of restraining him (the same method which ended the life of George Floyd and caused us to begin protesting in the first place). This is clearly police brutality and excessive force, and they tried to use their bikes to hide it. The man is now in police custody being held for unknown charges and we, the protesters, demand that he be released immediately. We also demand that the Seattle police department publicly identifies the officer in this video and that he be terminated immediately.
