Thousands of people gathered in France cities on Sunday (June 21) to celebrate the annual Fete de la Musique festival, despite the continuing coronavirus lockdown.

Footage shows police using force to disperse the crowds in Paris just outside the La Patache bar in Canal Saint-Martin.

Filmer Cam who was at the celebrations told Newsflare: "Parisians were enjoying the music coming from the bar and dancing in the street until the police came and started to brutalise young Parisians for no reason. You can hear a man shouting in French: 'I’m ashamed of you, you are the shame of the French nation.'"

This video was shot on 21/06 in Paris, rue de Lancry just outside the bar La Patache where music was played all afternoon as it was Music Day. Parisians were enjoying the music coming from the bar and dancing in the street until the police came and started to brutalise young parisians for no reason.
