A protest took place today (July 26) outside 10 Downing Street for climate change.

Footage shows protestors forming a people-powered wind farm and were calling for a "Green Recovery", and "build a new tomorrow for all kids and fight for kids' future.

The two groups, Mother's Rise Up and Parents For Future merged together to call for action by the government.

The group met in Parliament Square, then matched on to Downing Street.

Boris Johnson is not building a better future for our kids. Instead, his plan to 'build back better' is a fast-track recovery to carbon heavy business-as-usual that condemns our children to an overheating world and worsens the social and racial injustices caused by the #ClimateEmergency.

So on Sunday 26 July, 2020 at 11am, we will make a stand for a #newtomorrow - we will create a wind farm outside Downing Street with our friends at Parents for Future UK to highlight the need to create the jobs we need now, and ensure our children grow up on a safe and thriving planet.
We need to move fast to push the government for conscious decisions that both stabilize our economy and protect our environment in the long term so JOIN US!

DETAILS
- We will gather in Parliament Square at 11am for a short briefing and to hand out the wind turbines. The action will start shortly after and end by noon at which time, we invite you to join us for a picnic in St James’ Park.

- We will be joined there by @WindsOfChangeGlobal who will bring their beautiful windsocks and there will be a crane making workshop together with Extinction Rebellion Families ahead of their #1000wishes action the week after.
