I filmed this video myself, my name is Jodie Gartrell, 23 (19.09.1996) nursing assistant, plymouth 04/04/2020 13:40, near Burrator reservoir. Me and my partner Charlie Hodge) had a bet that he would be able to jump over the river, he managed to jump over but totally failed when trying to get back. I’m so glad I was still recording as it was almost instant karma for him winning the £10 bet. It was hilarious I could hardly breath.

My partner was trying to get back over to the other side of the river (after our bet that he wouldn’t be able to make it, witch he did) but didn’t go to plan at all when coming back over. Tried to walk along some tree stumps but it didn’t work and he fell, slipped and totally fell in the river. He then gets out soaking wet, goes to walk off then walks back towards me filming on my iPhone and says ‘right we’re going home’
