The atmosphere turned orange a la Blade Runner as a haboob, or dust storm, swept across Arizona on Sunday, August 16, forcing the closure of parts of Interstate 10 and other highways due to poor visibility.

High temperatures and an approaching storm with strong winds are causing the phenomenon, according to weather officials.
