US: Hottest Record-Breaking Temperature At Death Valley, California
According to the National Weather Service, their measuring system recorded a temperature of 54.4 Celsius (129.92 Fahrenheit) at Death Valley in eastern California on Sunday, August 16, that would be the hottest temperature officially verified since July of 1913.
A video posted on social media shows a man in Death Valley National Park on August 15, and his flip-flop melted and broke due to high temperature after walking for about 5 minutes.
