The phrase "literal dumpster fire" actually rang true for a Toronto resident this morning.

In the early hours of Sunday morning (16/08/2020) (7.30 am) a garbage truck was engulfed in flames at the corner of Adelaide and Simcoe in downtown Toronto, Canada.

Chris McGrath, the man behind the camera, said that his only thought was to capture the accident on video, to post as an alert on Reddit. He said the driver was calm, didn't panic or rush, and emergency services were quickly on the scene.

There is no clue yet as to what started the fire, but Chris noted, "Maybe this is why you shouldn't put batteries in regular garbage".

He added: "Luckily most of the people at the scene were from emergency services who acted quickly and efficiently."
