US: New Yorkers Startled By Surprise Fireworks Over The Hudson River
A surprise fireworks display startled residents around the Hudson River in New York City on Thursday night, August 27.
Many were displeased as people mistook it for thunder or gunshots. The fireworks recorded for the MTV Video Music Awards this coming Sunday was initially scheduled at 8 p.m. but was delayed to 11:00 p.m. due to severe weather, according to reports.
