Drone footage shows severe flooding around Cameron, Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Delta.

Buildings are badly damaged and boats have been lifted inland by the storm surge.

Cameron is close to the shores of the Gulf of Mexico.

Hurricane Delta hit just six weeks after Hurricane Laura, a Category 4 storm which devastated the region.

The Atlantic hurricane season of 2020 has broken several records, including being the first time there were 10 named storms to make landfall on the continental US.

There is more cyclonic activity around the world because global warming is increasing surface ocean temperatures.

Scientists say this is likely to get worse unless action is taken to significantly cut the release of greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere.
