US: Winds Exacerbate East Troublesome Fire In Colorado, Mandatory Evacuation Order Issued 4
Wednesday's winds and dry conditions exacerbated the East Troublesome Fire in Colorado, prompting mandatory evacuations on the east side of Colorado Highway 125.
Additional mandatory evacuation orders were issued for the Trail Creek subdivision, Area H, and north of mile marker 3 on Highway 34.
Winds are hampering efforts to contain the fire as it spread from Highway 125 to the south of Little Gravel Mountain. Social media videos show massive walls of smoke billow from the fire, turning day into night in some areas.
