Seattle police and SWAT teams were deployed as protesters took to the streets on election night.

Footage showed an armoured SWAT vehicle and several police vans driving down E Pine Street and 11th Avenue.

The filmer told Newsflare: "A police caravan over a block in length, including vehicles, officers, and SWAT equipment, followed protesters to Cal Anderson Park, blocking the entire street."

According to reports, Seattle police said protesters placed barricades and some scattered nails in the road.
