Residents of Minsk held a decentralised 'March of the neighbours' anti-government protest in neighbourhoods across the Belarusian capital on Sunday (29 November).

The idea behind holding marches all over the capital was to make it harder for the authorities to prevent them.

Police still made a number of arrests however, including one on Partizansky Avenue where they were filmed apparently knocking someone unconscious as they carried him away to waiting minibuses, while others try to stop them.

In the Petrovshchina neighbourhood, people were filmed chanting slogans and making music as they marched.

Mass protests have continued in Belarus ever since the announcement that Alexander Lukashenko won re-election as president in the election on August 9.

The election has been widely criticised as rigged.
