'It's snowing!' This is what happens when you shoot open a bunch of cattails
A man in Poland, Maine, shot a bunch of cattails with a shotgun and the result was surprisingly amazing.
The filmer, who goes by Zachary Hatch on YouTube, tied a bunch of cattail seed head in a tree and proceeded to shoot them with a shotgun.
Upon doing so, the plant heads burst open resulting in a vast cloud of seeds exploding into the air as if a heavy snowstorm had passed overhead.
Hatch told Newsflare: "The inspiration for this was because I’ve known these make a huge mess for a long time. When I was a kid me and my friends and cousins used to pick these and smack each other with them. They would break apart and go everywhere.
"When I was shooting with my friends, I noticed we had a bunch in the back yard and I kind of just had the idea to see what would happen. We figured out They also make 10 out of 10 skeet shooting targets."
The filmer posted the video to Reddit where it has received over 8,000 upvotes.
This footage was filmed in December 2020.
