Police in the Myanmar capital of Nay Pyi Taw fired rubber bullets to disperse large crowds of anti-coup protesters on Tuesday (February 9).

Footage shows the moment rounds were discharged as protesters run away.

One resident told news agency AFP that police forces initially "fired warning shots to the sky two times, then they fired [at protesters] with rubber bullets."

According to BBC Burmese at least two protesters have been seriously injured.

Additional shots captured by Twitter user @chozinhan show protesters from above in Yangon.
