A small group of Russian-Americans gathered in Southpoint Park, New York City, on Sunday (February 14) to protest the brutal arrests during pro-Navalny protests in Russia.

They voiced their support for Alexei Navalny and shone flashlights into the sky in coordination with small groups across the globe.

This protest was part of an international action taking place throughout the US and the world, and was organised to be a “neighbourhood event” where small groups will gather and shine their flashlights into the sky.

Speaking on camera, Russian-American activist Alexander Korzun said: "More than 10,000 people have been arrested all over Russia in small and big cities and these arrests have been very brutal."
