Clashes as Women's Rights protest in London broken up by police
Footage of a women's rights protest which ended in scuffles after it was broken up by police citing Covid legislation limiting gatherings. The demo took place in Central London this evening (March 15) following the death of Sarah Everard. The demonstration was permitted to continue through most of the day but was eventually broken up by police just after 8pm as protesters marched through the capital. The demo was organised by Women's Place UK who stated in their adverts for the event: "Women will not be silenced, we need to be seen and heard."
