Canadian police arrest suspect in fatal stabbings at a Vancouver library
Canadian police arrested a man suspected of murdering one woman and injuring six others in Vancouver on Saturday 27 March.
The stabbings happened in and around Lynn Valley library in the North Shore area of the city.
The suspect challenged police before appearing to stab himself and then be arrested. Local reports say he was taken to hospital in police custody.
The filmer was getting coffee at a nearby McDonald's when he heard yelling by police and captured the arrest on video. He also tweeted: "The police showed great restraint. I can't imagine what the families are going through. Devastating."
Police are investigating and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
