This is Nanyonjo Evelyn, a 28-year-old a resident of Kampala, Uganda, a single mother of 5. She survives by selling handmade sandals and second hand clothes. Her kids are helping her with work during the pandemic. Her dream is to start exporting these shoes overseas, but she has inadequate capital to proceed with this business idea. Nanyonjo has been able to provide all the basic needs to her children through this business. Her vision is to expand this business to a big export shoe company by 2030.
