Eliseevsky grocery store in Moscow closed down after 120 years in business
Last trading day of the famous Moscow grocery store on Tverskaya Street known as "Eliseevsky" after its founder - merchant Grigory Eliseev, who opened it in 1901. Opulent interiors and exquisite choice of refined foods and wines kept "Gastronom N 1" among the major shopping landmarks of the capital. The store looks empty on its last day as visitors are preoccupied with photos and videos. Coronavirus pandemic had its toll on the store managers who came out of business last year.
