This footage was filmed and produced from May 8 to May 10, 2021.

The governor of Jakarta, the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia, proclaimed "Eid at home, spread goodness" in support of the "national homecoming" prohibition policy. As the nation's capital city, Jakarta is integrated with other provincial cities in its vicinity, namely Depok, Bogor, Bekasi, Tangerang and Banten. Population mobility between residents in these cities is facilitated by bus, train, mini bus, and other types of online transportation to motorbikes. The ease of transportation cannot be stopped because it is an access for workers between cities. The definition of going home becomes biased mixed with mobility to go to work. So, Jakarta and the Regional Government must emphasize public awareness not to travel except for work assignments or other important matters. The tradition of the people to return to their hometowns is usually the routine of the last days before and during Eid al-Fitr. The Covid-19 pandemic since last year forced the Government to ban this tradition in anticipation of the spread of the virus through mass homecoming mobility. Even though many people are still determined to carry out the tradition, a few days at the end of Ramadan, the toll roads connecting between cities have begun to become silent as a marker of homecoming mobility has been suppressed for a while.

The last part of the footage is the interview with a Sri, a female worker from Surabaya who has been in Jakarta for 6 years, is one of those who plans to go home after the first days of Eid.

She explains that It's almost impossible to leave Java, but if someone goes to Cikarang, probably he has chances to come home.
Also Sri says that none of her friends were able to return back home and neither was she. Despite this fact, she's looking forward to going home after Eid.
