John Marshall from Maine creates these incredible sunset silhouettes from cardboard.

The 55-year-old began capturing his "sunset selfies" as a bit of fun but now his images are attracting a lot of attention and have been featured all over the world.

"Wherever I am, I can always find an open spot with a clear view of the setting sun to create my sunset selfies," Marshall says.

"Over the years, my cut-outs have gotten more and more complicated, allowing me to make pretty much anything I can dream up," he added.

Despite his success, Marshall says the project remains an enjoyable way for him to get away from all the time spent at his computer during his real job.
