Laura Angelo, 57, from New York, USA, filmed this video on the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Sea in Nassau, Bahamas.


"In the video you can see we are being thrown off the ship because RC mistakenly gave us a purple wristband that identified us as Vaccinated passengers. Prior to sailing I was called and asked if Valerie and I were vaccinated & I said NO. I was told that we needed a negative test within 72 hours prior to boarding which we complied to and gave them and in return we received the purple wristband" said Laura.


"Upon receiving the bracelet I asked if these were for unvaccinated people and we were told YES. I then asked if we needed another Covid test & we were told NO. We followed the passengers w/the purple bands thinking they were unvaccinated as well!" said Laura.


"At this point of everything they put us through and knowing they were putting us on a small medical plane during hurricane Elsa I lost it and that's when I guess I became a so-called "Karen". I am sure if anyone else was in the situation that we were in they probably would not have been calm. It's easy for people to pass judgment when they're not in that situation. And I did apologize to the staff who was around me when I was screaming and I said I am sorry this is not towards you this is towards the people that put us in the situation| said Laura.


"Unfortunately that part was not on camera because that was said right before we exited the ship. This is all in retaliation to the governor for enforcing the cruises to allow unvaccinated people to travel. I feel we are just stuck in the middle of a bigger situation" said Laura.


"My biggest thing is the lying and a cover-up and that's what made me lose it. All they had to do was on it and say your test came back negative we are so sorry we put you through this we're all new to this new way of cruising and we're going to send you from massage to compensate for the time we took away from you. But they didn't. I believe it was more in retaliation because we were hesitant about taking the test and about the situation they put us in so they needed to get us off the cruise ship so we did not speak to other passengers about their mistake" said Laura.
