American couple meet their baby and share their heartwarming adoption story

An American woman shared her heartwarming story about adopting a baby.
Thirty-two year old Kevyn Gumieny from Wisconsin says her best advice for those about to adopt would be to embrace an open adoption and do your research, saying: "It is what is best for your future child and the entire family."
In an open adoption, the birth mother can chose who will adopt their child.
Ms Gumieny said that she and her husband had decided to adopt a child after five years of marriage as her husband is unable to have children because he had testicular cancer when he was younger.
"My favourite thing about this whole experience has been the connection between the birth mother and myself and then the connection with my daughter. God had a specific plan and it was apparent this was it," she said.
"The five years of struggling to have our family was worth it in that moment we held her for the first time."
