An extreme downpour hit Devon, England on Monday (October 4) including strong winds up to 50 mph from a squall line convective system passing over.

The MetOffice issued a yellow warning which mentioned “A band of heavy rain, accompanied by strong and gusty winds, will move eastwards across Wales and southwest England into central and southern England this evening. 20-30 millimeters of rain could fall in a few hours with as much as 40-50 millimeters in a few spots in southwest England, South”

Many places will experience flash flooding and potentially damaging winds throughout the country with a risk of an isolated tornado from this system as it passing over the UK from a low deep area system.
