A dramatic video has emerged from Canada of an altercation between a group of dogs and their owners.

The footage, captured by a dog owner in the park in Windsor, Ontario earlier this month, shows two Dobermans appearing to attack his small white dog.

The filmer can be heard shouting at the other owners to control their dogs, while his dog yelps in distress.

Writing online about the incident, the filmer said: "There is [a] dog park near my house for small dogs. Today I took my dog there like I always do and two ladies were there with Dobermans.

“After politely asking them to go to the big dog side I was told to shut up and an argument began. After being fed up and realising I was not in the wrong I said I would call the cops. The one lady was a cop and gave me her badge number saying I was verbally abusing her so that meant it was ok for her to break the by law.

“After they assured me they were responsible owners. Both dogs attacked mine unprovoked. Then one of the ladies grabbed their dogs and poured water on them. As this was happening they were screaming for me to leave the park they have no business being in."
