Terrifying moment earthquake sends rocks crashing down onto climbers stuck up mountain in Japan
A group of climbers were caught on a mountain ridge as an earthquake struck Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
A large rumble can be heard in the footage from September 19 that shows the group bracing themselves from rocks tumbling down Kitakama Ridge on Mount Yari.
As the filmer pans towards the valley, large trails of smoke can be seen rising after the quake rocked the mountain. The seismic intensity of the tremor was 4.
Fortunately, the group in the video were all unharmed.
