A spectacular show of northern lights, or aurora borealis, lit up the night sky in Calgary, Canada.

The footage from November 3 shows the eerie green lights moving mysteriously across the black sky.

The geomagnetic storms causing the spectacle are more prominent in winter and across the north of America and Europe, there have been more and more sightings over the past days.

Another burst of aurora borealis, or northern lights, dazzled across the far northern region of the U.S., Canada, as well as Northern Europe on Wednesday night.

A moderate geomagnetic storm watch was issued for the northern countries due to several coronal mass ejections erupted from the sun between Monday and Tuesday, November 1 and 2, according to The Space Weather Prediction Center.
