Mesmerising freezing bubble in a mould
Uploaded by a Newsflare content partner
Cold weather can provide for some amazing moments where nature's beauty shines through like a bubble freezing and crystallising in -17°C temperatures.
All season weather chaser, Stacey Anne Leeson got up for the morning sunrise on January 26th at 7.20am to attempt to capture a freezing bubble due to the sub-zero conditions in Middleville, Michigan.
Stacey had a snowflake cookie cutter mould which she dropped into a washing up liquid solution to create the bubble and simply went outside and began recording.
The 60 seconds that followed saw a transformation of a transparent bubble into a frozen pane with small crystals spreading through the solution until the entire mould is translucent.
Stacey said: "My hand was freezing but I woke up extra early excited for the Artic temperatures.
"The bubble solution was made up of dish soap and glycerin freezing in a snowflake cookie cutter as the sunrise lit up the sky in the background."
