History is full of ridiculous ideas but few are as ill-advised as setting up a ski jump close to a huge tree.

Shared by Jure Horvat, this bizarre video, shot in Slovenia, shows a skier hitting their jump and attempting to fly right past the tree.

Instead, they end up flying straight through it.

This ski-tastic footage comes to an end with the filmer checking up on the subject and finding them immersed in snow, fortunately unharmed and able to see the funny side.
