Heavy rains hit the historic Brazilian mountain town of Petropolis, bringing mudslides and flooding on Wednesday (February 16).

The filmer told Newsflare: "Storm with rainfall was forecast for the whole month, fall over the city of Petrópolis in Rio de Janeiro in just 3 hours."

At least 94 people died, and up to 80 houses were hit by landslides, according to authorities.
