Heartbroken Ukrainian refugees share their terrifying ordeals as they arrive in Tiszabecs, Hungary, after fleeing their home country.

The refugees were seen on March 10 arriving on buses to a school being used as a refugee centre.

Ukrainian journalist Oliya spoke to a few of the refugees that had made it to Hungary.

“The trip from Kyiv was horror. We drove for two days, had problems with gas, but we are now here,” said Vika who fled the war with her 3-year-old daughter Amilia. Her husband drove them to the border and stayed behind in Ukraine.

One clip shows a joyful woman greeting her kids and mother who managed to escape from Kyiv.

"They have already destroyed our home," the 75-year-old woman is heard saying while crying.

Refugees were greeted by volunteers distributing toiletries and snacks. The volunteers were also helping organise accommodation and transport for the fleeing Ukrainians.
