This video shows crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department rescuing a dog in the Los Angeles River on March 28.

A homeless woman and her dog were trapped in the rain-swollen river on Monday afternoon. Although the crews managed to rescue the woman, the dog made its way into the water and was unable to reach dry ground due to the rushing river downstream. The dog was finally led to safety after a 90-minute rescue effort.
