Cressida Dick to leave MET on April 10: here is moment she gets mobbed by anti-vaccine protesters
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick will leave her post on April 10. The Guardian has revealed that Dick will step down with a payoff of £166,000.
This is the moment she gets mobbed by anti-vaccine protesters while en route to Westminster Abbey on April 1.
According to Newsflare's filmer, protesters had been taking part in a so-called "Freedom Rally" in Parliament Square when Dick suddenly appeared. She was on her way to Westminster Abbey for the 5 pm Evensong service.
Over the past two years, anti-vaccine and anti-lockdown protesters have often criticised her handling of rallies as well as the use of law enforcement measures. They claim them to constitute a violation of civil rights.
The Met Commissioner has also faced criticism from women's rights groups, Black Lives Matter activists, and the general public, following Sarah Everard’s murder, the death of Daniel Morgan, and the Charing Cross police station's scandal.
Dick resigned in February as the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, declared he had no confidence in her.
