An explosion caused by a gas leak in Havana, Cuba, on Friday morning (May 6) at the Hotel Saratoga caused 8 dead and dozens injured, according to officials regarding this developing breaking story.

The Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, ruled out a bomb and said investigations suggest that the blast was caused by a gas leak

According to Cuban officials, at least 13 people are missing after the explosion.

The five-star hotel in Old Havana has 96 rooms and is believed to have been closed at the time of the blast and it sits next to a school.
