Hundreds of cyclists attempt 205 mile ride across Southern England, UK
Hundreds of cyclists set off from Minster on Sea, Kent, UK this morning (June 18) - attempting to cross England and reach Burnham on Sea, Somerset by sunset - in an epic 205 mile bike ride.
The unique event is called 'Chase the Sun South' and is held on the longest Saturday of the year, as close to the Summer Solstice as possible to maximize daylight hours.
Footage shows cyclists gathering along the promenade at sunrise before setting off from Minster on Sea, Kent.
Around 950 cyclists took part this year.
