The McKinney Fire raging in Northern California since Friday July 29 has killed four people and forced thousands to evacuate.

Video captured on the night of Saturday 30 July showed the night sky glowing from the light of the flames. The next day, burnt trees and other fire damage can be seen after the wildfire passed through.

The fire exploded in size over the weekend, making it the largest wildfire in California this year.

It had burned 56,165 acres as of Tuesday morning, August 2, according to Cal Fire.
