William Ruto declared winner of Kenya presidential election

Kenya electoral agency, IEBC, chairman Wafula Chebukati has declared the winner of the closely-fought presidential election after calm was restored at the national tallying centre, which had erupted into chaos minutes earlier.
Dr Ruto garnered 7,176,141 votes, representing 50.49 percent of valid votes cast, beating his rival Azimio la Umoja flagbearer Raila Odinga who had 6,942,930 votes (48.85 percent).
