Handlers at the San Diego Zoo weighed their newest resident -- a recently born aye-aye.

The aye-aye is a kind of lemur with unusually long fingers. It is native to Madagascar, where it is endangered, and is the world's largest nocturnal primate.

The baby aye-aye showed good weight gain from its last weigh-in, pleasing its keepers.

It is the first aye-aye born at the zoo, to parents that are the first adult aye-ayes the zoo has ever had.
