Curious fur seals come to investigate divers off South African coast
This is the adorable moment a group of fur seals comes to explore some divers off the coast of Mossel Bay, South Africa on August 22.
"We were on a training dive for two Open Water students when two dark shapes darted around us. We looked up in a heart stopping moment to see the shapes shooting back towards us only to realise it was two Cape Fur Seal pups. We started recording the two seals playing around us, as they became more comfortable with us they became extremely curious. They came in close to us checking us out. They stayed with us for about 10 minutes playing around us and investigating us. One of the seals was a lot more comfortable and curious coming in super close to investigate looking into the camera multiple times. We were a little nervous at first as Cape Fur Seals can be a little aggressive if they perceive you as a threat. They have large teeth and claws and if they feel threatened by you they blow bubbles. These two young seals seemed super friendly and were happy just investigating us," said the filmer.
