This footage, filmed on September 5, shows huge clouds of smoke as a fire breaks out Hemet, Riverside County, Southern California, at around 2 pm.

The brush fire quickly grew to more than 600 acres and was 0% contained as of Monday evening.

Evacuations were initially ordered for 1,584 homes and later expanded to more areas.

The South Coast Air Quality Management District issued a smoke advisory and schools will be closed today (September 6).
