The New York Times Square is a Gun Free Zone
Some areas in New York City including Times Square are now declared Gun Free Zone. it means those people, who has a license to carry guns, must have their weapons in a lockbox, whether they are driving or walking, in the specified areas of Times Square. Failure to follow those rules for licensed gun carriers comes with a class E felony charge -- and that same criminal offense looms for any non-licensed people caught with a gun in the same zoned area.
