Due to prolonged rains, the water level in the Ganges and Yamuna rivers has risen again, along with the concern of people living nearby in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Footage filmed and produced on Thursday 13 October showed pedestrians, motorbikes and cars making their way through flooded streets.

When the water level in the Ganges and Yamuna rivers rises, shopkeepers and people living nearby are often inundated.

They are forced to move what they can to higher levels and clean up when the water finally retreats.

On this occasion, the homes of thousands of people are reported to have been flooded, with the poor particularly vulnerable.
