Extinction Rebellion activists have planted an oak tree in Parliament Square, London.

Footage from October 19 shows the tree being guarded by climate activists.

The sapling is a descendant of the 600-year-old Kett's Oak in Norfolk, the site of the 1549 Kett's Rebellion where 16,000 rebels destroyed fences put up by wealthy landowners.
