Saint Petersburg conducts alert siren checks for potential enemy invasion
Russia conducts an emergency sound system check in Saint Petersburg and other major cities today (November 8).
The test was carried out to make sure the alert siren works during potential government emergencies and threats such as an enemy invasion.
The check usually takes place in October but it was postponed this year.
Footage also features an audio message in Russia saying "Attention! Attention. If you hear this sound, you should switch the TV or radio on and listen to further instructions".
