The Black Friday shopping bonanza is famous for endless lines with people queuing overnight to make a bargain in the morning. But this year, things were quite subdued in some places with no lines outside several big stores in Florida.

The footage filmed on November 25 in Aventura, Florida shows the situation outside the Apple Store, Best Buy and Target with zero people queuing at night - despite the shops having set up barriers clearly expecting long lines.

There'd been speculations ahead of the this year's Black Friday whether the current cost of living crisis and rising energy prices might put a damper on the shoppers mood and at least in Florida, that might have been the case.

In the past, there used to be lines down the block. you can see that they were expecting it by the way they put up barriers but there was nothing. No Black Friday lines outside an Apple Store, Best Buy, or Target in Aventura, Florida.
