Fans were refused entry after their FIFA apps did not work at the turnstiles, a later explanation was to blame the “Direct sun” into the screens of the turnstiles.
I personally eventually got into the stadium with 25 minutes played.
We were sent to a ticketing window serviced by three poor staff members, who were taking much abuse from irate fans, these poor workers were like rabbits in headlights.
A terrible situation for many fans, desperate to watch their teams play at the World Cup.
