This London resident observed the dramatic electric sparks that were caused by the Overground trains that were passing over the freshly laid snow on the tracks.

Megan Schroeder lives adjacent to the Hoxton Overground station and was constantly reminded on the evening of Sunday, December 11th, as the first snow storm of the 2022 winter made itself known.

As the carriages travelled through, a reaction was occurring that caused blue sparks to explode outward of the wheels and tracks.

Megan said: "It felt like a lightning show was happening in my room for the first couple hours any time a train would go by.

"It would light up my room for five - seven seconds like it was lightning coming and going."
