This little girl was mortified after her mum attempted to clean her doll but ended up making it worse.

Mary Jane Flores, 44, was at home in Corpus Christi, Texas, when she noticed her daughter had accidentally got some sharpie on her Poppy doll.

In an attempt to remove the sharpie line, Mary got some nail varnish remover and started rubbing at the doll but unfortunately it didn’t go to plan.

As she was cleaning the toy, the doll’s eye began to come off and she noticed too late, leaving her daughter's toy with only one eye.

The hilarious video went viral online with over 20 million views and many people suggesting ways Mary can give Poppy unique eyes and eyewear and her taking them on board.

Mary said: “My daughter had marked her Poppy doll with a sharpie so I tried to remove the sharpie with nail polish remover but it also removed the doll's eye.

“I was shocked that the doll's eye came off but I also thought it was a hilarious mom fail so I decided to share it online.

“People in my comments were suggesting ways to fix Poppy so I attempted a few of them.”
